I am a writer, operator, strategist, builder, & lifelong student of
what makes people & systems work & what quietly makes them stop working.
I notice patterns, ask the question underneath the question,
connect ideas that don't always look related, & turn the useful parts
into writing, guides, tools, & clearer ways forward.
Long before I had language for systems thinking, I was looking for the structure underneath the situation: what outcome people were trying to create, what was supporting them, where the process broke down, and whether the thing we built could actually last.
That instinct has followed me across education, property management, business development, leadership, revenue operations, technology, and consulting.
I tend to be most useful in the places where the official answer does not explain what is really happening - where a people problem is partly a systems problem, a technology problem is partly a management problem, or a growth problem is really a capacity problem wearing a better outfit.
I spent years helping organizations build systems, navigate growth, and keep moving through change.
I also learned what happens when success is designed around output while the capacity, identity, and actual life of the person producing it become afterthoughts.
Leaving corporate work did not give me one perfect answer.
It gave me room to ask better questions about ambition, burnout, technology, money, identity, creativity, grief, and what a sustainable life is allowed to look like.
This body of work comes from that middle:
professional experience
ongoing research
lived experiments
strong opinions
unfinished questions
& the belief that useful work should not require self-abandonment to sustain it.
The work may have brought you here, but these are the things that make my life feel like mine.
Quiet mornings, strong coffee, & a notebook
Sharing my desk & priorities with Fawkes & Tonks
Live music & experiences that pull us away from our screens (I live in Band T-Shirts)
Following strange research rabbit holes just to see where they lead
Building a portable life near books, mountains, & water
Books, music, animals, curiosity, slow mornings, new places, & the people I love are not rewards for finishing the work.
They are what the work is meant to support.
Whether I am looking at a business, a technology stack, a career, a creative project, or a life decision, I care about what the system asks from the humans inside it.
I believe clarity should come before more complexity. Capacity is part of the strategy. Technology should amplify human thinking rather than flatten it. Growth is useful only when the structure supporting it can hold. Metrics can tell us what is happening without becoming a judgment of our worth.
The goal is not to make everything smaller or easier. It is to build deliberately enough that success leaves something alive behind it.
Alignment before growth
Capacity before complexity
Build for the human first
Simplicity creates capacity
Technology should amplify humanity
Metrics are mirrors, not judges
The form changes. the connective question doesn't.
